I Am Your Writing Doula
I am a seasoned journalist, author and self-described writing doula. I assist clients with all manner of writing challenges and help them produce their best work.
Much like the traditional doulas, I provide guidance and support to my clients, but with a different speciality. Traditional doulas help clients through the process of childbirth. I help clients give birth to their words.
My writing doula services include
manuscript review, private consultations, skill-sharpening tutorials, workshops and writing clinics. And no self-respecting writing doula would have a practice without a component devoted to wellness! Writing is not only a means of communicating information, it is also a practice that fosters good health! Medical evidence shows that writing, on a regular basis, decreases stress, eases depression, boosts the immune system and has other physical, emotional and mental benefits. Several of my workshops and private sessions will focus on writing as a therapeutic practice for self-care.
I look forward to working with you. You won’t be disappointed!
